All films that set their story in a futuristic or fantastic setting have to deal with the question how to actually materialize an artistic vision in a three-dimensional way. While many individuals are involved in this process Mineworks Film producer Hanno Gerken brings in his amazing organizing talent to push the film production forward at all times. The 35-years old studied political science, economics and economic history at the university of Aachen. For Real Buddy he not only acts as a production manager but is also the head of the construction department. After countless pre-production discussions with director Frank Mirbach Hanno Gerken spent months with the construction crew to actually built the needed Science Fiction sets from scratch. During construction always the little details do cause the most complicated problems and at the end of the day it is Hanno Gerken who has to solve them. Amazingly he always succeeds in finding practical solutions.
