Work on REAL BUDDY has been stalled after the shocking and sad news of the death of our friend and film composer Achim Schmidt reached us in the middle of a documentary production in British Columbia.

Achim - as mentioned earlier in this blog - was already working on the REAL BUDDY score. A pulmonary embolism forced him into a hospital bed for some weeks, before he returned home to regain strength and recover fully.

Eager to work on BUDDY and two other filmscores, he slowly started composing again when suddenly another pulmonary embolism caught him. Emergency doctors and paramedics did all they could, but Achim passed away on the way to the hospital.

Achim was always our first choice for great film music. Being a great artist and totally enthusiastic about his music, he worked with us on many films and we deeply miss him.
